As a Client Services Associate specializing in SSAS Pension Administration, you will play a vital role in our esteemed firm, known for its supportive and family-oriented work culture. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our reputation for delivering exceptional pension administration services.
Key Responsibilities:- Onboard new clients and establish Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit SSAS schemes.
- Manage existing scheme takeovers while ensuring high-quality technical and customer service outcomes.
- Conduct thorough checks on application forms and perform necessary internal AML verifications.
- Prepare comprehensive establishment packs for new schemes and oversee the registration process with HMRC.
- Facilitate contributions and transfers into the schemes, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
- Coordinate the opening of investment portfolios and manage the re-registration of existing investments during takeovers.
- Oversee property transactions related to scheme takeovers, ensuring adherence to internal procedures.
- Handle regulatory registrations for schemes, including TPR, ICO, and LEI registrations as required.
- Prepare asset valuations and member fund share calculations to maintain accurate records.
- Monitor rent and loan repayments, implementing internal processes in case of arrears.
- Manage scheme bank accounts to ensure sufficient cash flow for income payments and fees.
- Prepare trust deeds reflecting changes in trustees and scheme rules.
- Complete and submit necessary Pension Scheme Returns and Accounting for Tax Returns.
- Calculate and process benefit drawdown requests and death benefits as per internal procedures.
- Prepare review materials for client meetings and attend Trustee meetings as needed.
- Address any administrative queries that may arise.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in a SSAS new business role, particularly in scheme establishment and takeovers.
- Strong knowledge of SSAS regulations and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain attention to detail while working under pressure.
- Clear and concise communication skills across all levels.
- A proactive and positive approach to client care.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
