Unlock the Power of AI-Driven Materials Discovery

At Flagship Pioneering, we're revolutionizing the field of materials science with our cutting-edge AI and data-driven approach. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in designing, building, and scaling supervised ML models for active learning and Bayesian Optimization of materials synthesis and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Combine datasets of multiple fidelities and sources to power data-driven materials discovery
  • Work with infrastructure and automation teams to transfer data and predictions in real time
  • Continually cultivate scientific/technical expertise through critical review of ML literature, attending conferences, and developing relationships with key opinion leaders
Requirements:
  • PhD in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field with a strong focus on ML
  • Strong experience in at least one ML framework (PyTorch/TensorFlow/Jax) and robust experience in Python data science ecosystem (Numpy, SciPy, Pandas, etc.)
  • Demonstrated industry experience or academic achievement
  • Experience using AWS services and machine learning integration in experiment workflows
