Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team at Dabster. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software solutions using Python.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop commercial software applications using Python, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Python code, ensuring it is well-documented, tested, and follows best practices.
  • Work closely with our DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of our software applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Python and related technologies, and apply that knowledge to improve our software solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial software engineering experience in Python.
  • Experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid.
  • Knowledge of distributed storage systems like DB, Sybase / Sybase IQ, MongoDB.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, especially using Git.
  • Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Natural self-motivation with a passion for delivering excellence.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
  • Curiosity with an ongoing desire to develop and learn.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial Services and/or Software Consulting experience.
