About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Linn Moor Campus. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children and young adults with additional support needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work across both care and education services, providing a nurturing and positive environment that meets the needs of our students.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, young adults, and colleagues to ensure a seamless delivery of care and education.
  • Contribute to the creation of a happy, safe, and caring team environment that enables children and young adults to learn and grow.
  • Work flexibly in care and education settings, recognizing the unique needs and requirements of each individual.
  • Support the development of life skills and personal fulfillment for children and young adults, promoting their physical, psychological, and emotional well-being.
Requirements
  • SCQF Level 7 in Social Services and Healthcare (or equivalent) and an HNC in Social Care would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Experience working with children and young adults with autism/learning difficulties and the ability to engage and relate to them through effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations, prioritizing the needs of children and young adults.
  • Commitment to promoting the principles of GIRFEC (Getting It Right For Every Child) and supporting the development of individualized care and education plans.
