Job Description:
Sharp Consultancy is acting as the exclusive partner for a fast-growing client within the North Sheffield region who are recruiting a Senior Financial Director to join the business within a newly created role to lead across finance and support the MD and wider leadership team as the client embarks on the next stage of business growth and development.
About the Company:
Our client is a mid-sized enterprise with a turnover of less than £25 million, who has successfully grown from a bespoke engineering specialist into a market leader with an international presence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function, responsible for a small team and the development and growth of that team.
- Take responsibility for the monthly management accounts process, the financial year end and the year end audit.
- Lead across external partnering and be the key decision maker for banking, insurances, compliance, investment, M&A and R&D.
- Create and develop strong accounts processes with a particular focus on projects and financial analysis.
- Work closely with the MD/owner and lead across a senior level throughout the business, in particular developing strong finance ownership including reviews and analysis to aid commercial decision making.
- Provide robust finance leadership with significant responsibility for performance and leadership of a growing SME.
- Lead across wider growth strategies, including M&A and investment opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified, preferably chartered, having progressed into a production, engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong level of commercial leadership with clear understanding of MI and business improvements via strong finance processes.
- Strong management and coaching skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead with the required gravitas to drive the business at all levels.
