Job Title: Education Engagement Officer

We are seeking an Education Engagement Officer with a child-centred approach to supporting children and young people to overcome their barriers to education. The children and young people will be identified by the CCAS Panel. As an Education Engagement Officer, you will use various techniques to gain children and young people's views about education in meaningful ways, alongside the views of their parent(s)/carer(s), and, with regular supervision and case discussions with an Educational Psychologist, prepare and deliver appropriate intervention and support to promote a gradual return to education and enable children and young people to reach their aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with education settings/providers about best-practice strategies and support to meet the individual needs of children who cannot attend school.
  • Use a variety of techniques to gain children and young people's views about education in meaningful ways.
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate intervention and support to promote a gradual return to education.
