Key ResponsibilitiesPeople Management- Team Leadership: You will be responsible for the line management and development of assistant or shared assistant resources, ensuring the successful running of your caseload.
- Assistant Development: Identify potential for development of your Assistant and encourage and facilitate this development by broadening their experience, knowledge, and skills.
- Department Flexibility: Work with your Team Leader to identify opportunities to move people where appropriate, with the aim of increasing the flexibility of the department and its ability to respond to a variety of different pressures.
- Client Relationships: Maintain and build good professional working relationships with clients and external organisations.
- Client Service Standards: Develop and improve client service standards, encouraging a total client care culture throughout the department.
- Client Feedback: Monitor your team support's delivery of client service, with your Team Leader, through regular feedback reviews.
- Property Transactions: Ability to deal with a full range of property transactions, including freehold, leasehold, new builds, shared ownership, and limited company transactions.
- Compliance: Adhere to and promote compliance with Conveyancing Quality Scheme, the firm's policies, practices, and procedures; legislation applicable to the profession and to any relevant quality standards.
- Training and Development: Through training and other means, keep fully up to date with relevant legislation and practice.
- Work Delegation: Delegating work to the team support.
- Knowledge and Experience: Good knowledge of services within Birchall Blackburn Law.
- Interpersonal Skills: Good inter-personal skills, able to deal with all levels within an organisation and relieve potential conflicts.
- Communication Skills: Able to work accurately and clearly explain technical matters to non-technical users in both written and verbal forms.
- Client Focus: A client-focused approach to service delivery.
- Technical Skills: Strong experience in using Microsoft office tools – Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Case Management: Strong experience using case management systems.
- Industry Knowledge: At least 5 years' experience managing own diverse caseload from instructions to completion and registration.
- Professional Knowledge: Working knowledge of the CQS Protocol, UKFML, and BSA Handbooks.
