Navartis is seeking to appoint a Plant Manager for a prominent client in the rail industry, in response to the company's continuous growth.
This position will involve working from the client's facility, where you will play a vital role in the organization, reporting directly to the Head of Operations. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the delivery of exceptional service to clients while maintaining strict adherence to internal compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute maintenance plans that minimize equipment downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as manufacturing, to outline comprehensive maintenance strategies for plant machinery, ensuring clarity on timelines and budget constraints.
- Allocate resources effectively for various tasks, ensuring alignment with both internal and external demands.
- Oversee the management of the fleet asset register for machinery and its related components.
- Administer maintenance budgets, focusing on cost-effectiveness while prioritizing top-tier service quality.
- Contribute significantly to the implementation of systems and technologies that facilitate the documentation of safety-critical tasks.
- Supervise Plant Engineers and Administrators, ensuring they are well-informed about new procedures and receive adequate technical support.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Possession of relevant certifications, such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Plant Engineer (CPE), is highly advantageous.
- Proven experience in budget management and the capability to implement and follow new operational procedures.
- A background in a maintenance-focused environment, preferably within the rail sector.
- Ability to lead teams of various sizes and collaborate effectively with other departments.
- A comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety regulations is essential.
