Job Summary

Protocol Education is seeking a skilled Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will work closely with students who require additional support due to their learning disabilities, such as SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or other conditions that may impact their behaviour and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support to students who are struggling with the curriculum due to their needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and tailor learning to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, colleagues, and parents/carers to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students.
  • Use positive behaviour management techniques to encourage students to demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours.
  • Work closely with students to identify and overcome barriers to learning.

Requirements

  • Calm and resilient when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Positive can-do attitude and a willingness to engage with students.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the classroom and students.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or other learning disabilities.
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to support student learning.
