Job Description

RHL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Project Engineer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established Engineering Consultancy that specializes in Pipelines and Storage facilities in the UK and overseas.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain 3rd party and Project Management experience on high-profile projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project control from initial approval through to commissioning and handover.
  • Ensure agreed staff-hours and cost targets are adhered to.
  • Prepare project plans and programmes.

Design and Development:

  • Identify and manage design risks.
  • Provide appropriate engineering designs in accordance with relevant company, client, national and international standards.
  • Develop design and construction drawings.
  • Conduct design reviews with project stakeholders.

Procurement and Contract Management:

  • Prepare contract documentation for procurement of services and materials.
  • Evaluate tenders and provide recommendations for contract award.
  • Authorise invoices and monitor project spend.

Construction and Commissioning:

  • Manage on-site construction contracts.
  • Liaise with onsite staff to ensure health and safety targets are achieved.
  • Assist in the preparation of commissioning plans.

General:

  • Maintain good client relationships.
  • Adapt to changing priorities presented by client requirements.
  • Ensure good engineering practices are maintained.
  • Assist in the development of scopes of work and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Graduate Engineer with BEng equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering or consultancy.
  • Knowledge in specified engineering discipline (preferable in the context of the design, project engineering and construction).
  • Proficient with desktop applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Valid UK driving licence.

Salary: £30-35,000 + Annual Bonus
