Building Services Quantity Surveyor

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for construction and project management? We are seeking an Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Mech Electrics Limited.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to assist our experienced Quantity Surveyors in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for building services projects. As an Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on a prestigious project in Manchester City Centre and gain valuable experience in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for building services projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform project viability.
- Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets.
- Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports, including cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues related to costs and quality.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal frameworks.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
