About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vehicle Maintenance Unit Coordinator to join our team at Allied Bakeries. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day running of our vehicle maintenance unit and team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the maintenance of our fleet to ensure maximum availability and minimize downtime
  • Leading and developing a team of mechanics to work safely and meet targets
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative and company standards and procedures
  • Managing annual MOT tests, Tachograph calibrations, LOLER inspections, and tool/garage equipment inspections and calibrations

Requirements

  • Experience in vehicle maintenance and leadership/management
  • Hold an HGV Licence (or be willing to train candidates with mechanical experience)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative and logical approach to work
