Job Summary

Chelston Hall Surgery is seeking a skilled and confident Phlebotomy Specialist to join our healthcare team. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient comfort and relaxation during the blood collection process
  • Collect blood samples in accordance with established procedures and protocols
  • Accurately label and store blood samples in designated containers
  • Verify patient identification and confirm with the patient whenever possible
  • Record blood collection in patient records in accordance with practice procedure
  • Dispatch blood samples to laboratories in a timely manner
  • Report any anomalies or issues to senior staff members
  • Liaise with administrative team members as needed

Requirements

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Qualifications in Phlebotomy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
