About the Role

Sustainable Infrastructure is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and develop your skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage small engineering teams and lead projects from concept to completion.
  • Develop and implement test protocols to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with technicians to design and assemble prototypes.

  • Contribute to the development of engineering first principles and thermodynamics knowledge.
Requirements
  • 2:1 Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks CAM package or Fusion 360 CAM for CNC.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Desirable Skills
  • Hydrogen industry experience.
  • ATEX/COMAH/DSEAR site operations.
  • Turbine engineering.
  • Steam system design.
  • CFD/FEA.
  • High pressure gas systems.
