Job Summary:

Shillito Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to join a leading specialist engineering firm in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical team and shaping its future, while also contributing to the company's continued growth and expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of around 5 technical professionals to ensure consistent delivery of strong, sustainable performance across a range of defined indicators.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to shape the company's technical direction.
  • Travel to other sites and regional/national locations to meet with colleagues and customers.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a background in project-based work and technical design.
  • Experience in the grain handling industry or related sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, or process engineering.
  • Engineering-related degree and a proven track record of delivering strong, sustainable performance.
  • Able to manage projects from conception to completion and understand customer needs.
