Interim Strategic Estates Manager
About the Role
The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) is seeking an experienced Interim Strategic Estates Manager to join our client, a public sector organisation in East Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an estates strategy, workplace strategy, and assist with decarbonisation and benefits realisation programmes.
- Deliver estates capital programmes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal procedures.
- Oversee the organisation's estate, ensuring it remains safe, sustainable, operational, and fit for purpose on a day-to-day basis.
- Manage the Estates Strategy Master programme, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are achieved.
- Prepare and present governance documentation for capital project delivery, adhering to the RIBA Plan of Works and internal PMO procedures.
Requirements
- Available to start at short notice.
- Willingness to travel to site as required.
- Relevant education in architecture, surveying, engineering, or construction.
- Working towards or full membership of a professional body such as RICS, CIOB, or RIBA.
- Proven experience in strategic estates management.
- Preferably some client-side experience within the public sector.
