Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operation of our laundry facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the laundry, including washing, ironing, dry cleaning, and storing of all laundry products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily laundry operations to ensure efficient and effective processing of laundry products
  • Coordinate with all divisions to ensure proper sorting of linen before it reaches the laundry
  • Enforce quality controls at each stage of the laundry process
  • Coordinate daily inspections to ensure equipment is operating at optimum capacity and water is at maximum temperature
  • Submit daily inspection reports to the Executive Housekeeper and First Engineer
  • Coordinate cleaning of non-logo uniforms with the Linen Keeper and crew members
  • Oversee sorting and washing procedures
  • Timely distribution of all linen and laundered items to Front and Back of House areas
  • Coordinate washing schedules with the Cruise Division to ensure all costumes and required items are laundered on time and to specifications
  • Partner with Ecolab representative to ensure machines are regularly calibrated and serviced
  • Ensure all workers maintain clean, sanitized, and organized areas and equipment
  • Advises the Executive Housekeeper of any malfunctions or laundry concerns
  • Completes Crunchtime requisitions for chemical supplies and adheres to financial budget guidelines
  • Liaise with the Senior Deck Supervisor to ensure timely return of Top Suite items to guests
  • Reviews weekly sales and revenue generated in the laundry with the Executive Housekeeper
  • Reviews financial budget with the Executive Housekeeper to ensure operation remains on plan
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of related experience and/or training in the laundry field
  • Ability to read and interpret English language documents
