We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Account Executive: Corporate Communications and Public Affairs. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and campaigns, developing their skills and expertise in corporate communications and public affairs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Account Manager: The successful candidate will work closely with the Account Manager to provide administrative support and contribute to the development of campaigns and projects.
  • Research and Draft Communications Materials: The candidate will be responsible for researching and drafting communications materials, including press releases, newsletters, and feature articles, under the supervision of the Account Manager.
  • Client Communication: The successful candidate will deal with client requests, respond to calls and requests, and ensure that community hotlines are manned and monitored.
  • Sales and Negotiation: The candidate will sell in and negotiate features and interviews, meet journalists, and evaluate coverage.
  • Industry Knowledge: The successful candidate will be expected to understand local government and national government structure and decision-making processes, as well as policy context for our sectors.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree is required for this role.
  • Communication and Writing Skills: Excellent communication and writing skills are essential for this position.
  • Self-Motivation and Tenacity: The successful candidate will be self-motivated and tenacious, with a strong desire to succeed.
  • PR Knowledge: A basic understanding of PR principles and its role within business is required.
  • Attention to Detail: The candidate will have a sharp eye for detail and accuracy, and an interest in the way the world works.
  • Team Player: The successful candidate will be a team player, with a willingness to contribute ideas and work collaboratively.
  • Time Management: Good time management and organization skills are essential for this role.
