Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Apple Recruitment. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure, leveraging cloud technologies to deploy a greenfield solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of industry-standard data models and architecture in line with agreed plans and within agreed budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Keep abreast of developments in data engineering technologies, tools, and best practices and advise on their potential impact.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other key stakeholders across the HSC to understand their data needs and requirements.
  • Communication: Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks, error handling mechanisms, and monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability and accuracy of data.
Requirements
  • Education: A university degree or professional qualification relevant to ICT.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a data engineering role within a major organization or 5 years of experience in an ICT data engineering role.
  • Skills: Strong programming skills in Python or R, experience in data manipulation, transformation, and analysis, and knowledge of database and query design for reporting and analysis.
