Job Title: Optical Component Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Optical Component Specialist to join our team at Excelitas Technologies. As an Optical Component Specialist, you will be responsible for producing precision lens components and assemblies to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure component quality meets specifications and dimensions are accurate
  • Select and prepare tooling to ensure accurate production of components and assemblies
  • Perform component preparatory work to achieve precision components efficiently
  • Select relevant tooling and equipment to produce high-quality precision components
  • Ensure quality and operating standards are met throughout each stage of manufacture
  • Set up machinery to ensure efficient production of precision components
  • Inspect components and decide on alterations required to achieve finished component
  • Re-work damaged components when possible to recoup potential losses
  • Instruct other employees in machinery operation and assist personnel in the department
  • Maintain equipment and work area in accordance with operator's maintenance schedule and departmental standards
  • Support business needs by participating in process improvement programs

Requirements:

  • Full training will be provided
  • BTEC Level 3 - Engineering
  • PEO Level 2
  • Equivalent level of manufacturing experience
