Job Summary:

The University of Central Lancashire is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Finance Business Partner to join its Financial Planning & Accounting Business Partnering Team. As a key member of the team, you will provide financial support and guidance to a portfolio of budget holders across the university, ensuring alignment with corporate financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and partner with finance and non-finance managers to provide financial analysis and strategic planning.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with budget holders to ensure effective financial support and delivery of corporate financial strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of financial plans and budgets, and provide regular financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Accounting Business Partnering Team to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Professional accountancy body membership (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) or working towards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial planning and analysis principles.
