The Team
Our Financial Services Litigation team is a highly successful and reputable team that provides a complete range of debt recovery, insolvency, commercial litigation, and lending and banking disputes. Job Summary
We are seeking a Paralegal to join our Financial Services Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a top-ranked team that has achieved Tier 1 rankings in the Legal 500 and won several awards for debt recovery and litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a case load of defended court actions, primarily in the debt recovery space.
- Work within the team to assist in other dispute resolution matters as required.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure that clients are kept updated on progress with their cases.
- Take personal responsibility for compliance with all relevant client and internal Service Level Agreements.
- Draft basic court documents, including motions and minutes.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service expertise.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written, numeracy, and oral communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- IT literate, including sound knowledge of Word, Excel, and the internet.
- Ability to prioritize, be organized, and efficient.
