About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Statutory Inspection Supervisor to join our team at EMCOR UK. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the EMCOR Statutory Inspection team to ensure effective communication, training, and development.
  • Support and develop a managed and cost-effective statutory inspection programme for site services plant, systems, and engineering assets.
  • Evaluate customer requirements and produce proposals, including cost and timescales, to ensure all works are completed to the satisfaction of the customer and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor the progress of planned maintenance and statutory inspections to agree costs and time, ensuring continuity of essential site systems and equipment.
  • Support and manage the promotion and improvements to the teams Safety, Health, and Environment and risk management processes.
  • Develop partnerships with suppliers to achieve maximum mutual benefit and rationalise the supplier database.
  • Identify, develop, implement, and review service level agreements and key performance indicators to ensure continued provision of high-quality service.
  • Develop the existing Statutory Inspection team to ensure growth and stability linked to Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify training and development needs, including the creation of a performance system to assess the competencies of employees and others.
  • Contribute to an effective 'change management' programme for key business elements.
  • Maintain day-to-day contact with the customer's representatives and attend meetings as directed.
Requirements
  • Hold LEEA qualifications or equivalent Lifting equipment qualifications.
  • Minimum engineering qualification of NVQ level 4 or equivalent.
  • Good people management, leadership, decision-making, and communications skills.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Ability to establish, implement, and monitor high standards of excellence in areas of quality, safety, and operational performance.
  • Good, all-round knowledge of Maintenance Management disciplines.
  • Experience in a Supervisory environment with Engineering as a component responsibility.
  • Commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation, and management.
  • Resilient under pressure and able to converse confidently with staff, suppliers, and customers at all levels.
