Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior and Intermediate Building Surveyor to join our team at Real Estate Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of technical skills and experience in mixed surveying and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct surveys and compile results
- Compile condition survey reports
- Prepare project schedules of works and specifications
- Prepare tender documentation
- Analyse historical records and evidence to ensure data accuracy
- Manage delivery/progress of construction works, including contract administration, chairing meetings and minute preparation
- Work closely with engineers, architects and other specialists in preparing planning and other relevant submissions
- Presentation of findings in reports, updates with cost, programme, quality, risk and health and safety
- Analyse buildings to identify any potential discrepancies with current building safety regulations
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a building surveyor
- Good communication skills to deal confidently and effectively with clients, teams, contractors, end-users and colleagues
- Project experience assisting with contract administration duties
- Motivated to develop technical and management skills continuously
- The preferred candidate will be close to sitting their APC or newly qualified. Achieved or progressing towards RICS professional status
- Able to apply technical knowledge in analysing problems and creating solutions
- Building pathology including assisting in the diagnosis of defects, identification of deleterious materials and associated remedial works
- Driving licence and willingness to drive to sites where required
