Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior and Intermediate Building Surveyor to join our team at Real Estate Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation of technical skills and experience in mixed surveying and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys and compile results
  • Compile condition survey reports
  • Prepare project schedules of works and specifications
  • Prepare tender documentation
  • Analyse historical records and evidence to ensure data accuracy
  • Manage delivery/progress of construction works, including contract administration, chairing meetings and minute preparation
  • Work closely with engineers, architects and other specialists in preparing planning and other relevant submissions
  • Presentation of findings in reports, updates with cost, programme, quality, risk and health and safety
  • Analyse buildings to identify any potential discrepancies with current building safety regulations
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a building surveyor
  • Good communication skills to deal confidently and effectively with clients, teams, contractors, end-users and colleagues
  • Project experience assisting with contract administration duties
  • Motivated to develop technical and management skills continuously
  • The preferred candidate will be close to sitting their APC or newly qualified. Achieved or progressing towards RICS professional status
  • Able to apply technical knowledge in analysing problems and creating solutions
  • Building pathology including assisting in the diagnosis of defects, identification of deleterious materials and associated remedial works
  • Driving licence and willingness to drive to sites where required
