About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Analyst to join our team at Vitality. As a key member of our Executive Office, you will play a critical role in supporting our Net Zero strategy and targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of Sustainability and Climate Change across different dimensions, including regulatory, financial, marketing/PR & messaging, and others.
  • Engage with multiple departments, such as finance, people, and property, risk, and compliance, to support our Net Zero strategy and targets.
  • Embed sustainability into our culture and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with partners and suppliers to create positive change.
  • Ensure people make more sustainable choices through Vitality products and services.
  • Lead the Net Zero project, reducing emissions in our operations (Scope 1 and 2 work stream) and supply chain (Scope 3 work stream).
  • Implement a strategy around charitable giving, focusing on how we can use our unique business model and partnerships to help others make healthier choices.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements related to climate change.
  • Keep up with emerging Sustainability market initiatives and practices.
  • Annual ESG reporting to Discovery, including CDP, TCFD, ESG data, and Sustainability report.
  • Internal and external communications around Sustainability.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of Sustainability and climate change.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT software packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work across teams and develop strong internal network of relationships.
  • Capable of working under pressure and using own initiative.
  • Aptitude for learning and willingness to develop skills.
