Job Title: Security Analyst

At Talion, we're seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our team in protecting our clients' IT networks from cyber threats. As a key member of our Security Operations Centre (SOC), you'll play a critical role in identifying and responding to security incidents, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our clients' data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security event logs, intrusion detection systems, and anomaly detection systems to identify potential security threats.
  • Assist in incident response activities, including containment, recovery, and mitigation of security incidents.
  • Communicate security alerts and incidents to IT, network, and security teams in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts to implement counter-measures and mitigating controls to prevent future security incidents.
  • Contribute to the development of operational effectiveness and efficiency by making recommendations for process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in security technologies, including firewalls, IPS, IDS, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, TCP/IP, networks, AWS, CDN's, vulnerability management, and SIEM.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Security administration and incident containment, recovery, and mitigation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including shifts, to support 24x7x365 service delivery.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant security certifications, such as SSCP, CEH, Security, GCIH.
  • Experience with SIEM or Service Desk toolsets.
  • Evidence of working to SLAs within a Security Operations Centre.
  • Previous experience in a shift-based structure within a 24x7x365 service delivery environment.
