Overview of the Role:

As a Fire Safety Specialist within the Property & Place Directorate, you will be an integral member of the Fire Safety Team at Newport City Homes Careers.

This role involves the thorough inspection, evaluation, and upkeep of fire doors, fire stopping measures, and fire compartmentation systems within our residential properties. Your work will ensure adherence to essential fire safety regulations and standards.

Collaboration with fellow team members will be key in mitigating risks and fostering a secure living environment for our residents.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Trade qualified carpenter.
  • Proven experience in inspecting fire doors and executing remedial tasks to a high standard.
  • Experience in the installation of new fire door sets, with an industry-recognized qualification being highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in fire stopping and fire compartmentation tasks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fire door standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
