Position Overview

Are you meticulous and passionate about ensuring product excellence? Highbury Recruitment is seeking a dedicated **Quality Control Inspector** to oversee the quality assurance processes for glass products.

Your primary responsibility will be to perform comprehensive quality inspections on incoming glass shipments, guaranteeing that all products adhere to the highest quality standards prior to distribution. You will also be tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Glass QC area, ensuring that all documentation and records are current to facilitate complete traceability. Additionally, you may be required to inspect various materials and components as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• **Quality Assurance:** Take charge of the inspection process for all incoming glass, ensuring adherence to applicable quality standards.

• **Record Keeping:** Accurately document inspection results, manage inventory protocols, and report any discrepancies using our software system.

• **Team Collaboration:** Collaborate effectively with Operations and Purchasing teams regarding product deliveries, non-conformances, and returns.

• **Process Oversight:** Organize the Glass QC area to prevent damage or defects and manage the preparation and dispatch of glass to the production floor.

• **Adaptability:** Conduct inspections on a variety of materials as required, ensuring compliance with stringent quality requirements.

• **Additional Responsibilities:** Perform any other reasonable tasks to support the Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) department.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines.

• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and utilizing measuring instruments.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.

• Computer literate, particularly in record maintenance and updates.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience in warehouse and manufacturing settings.

Desirable Attributes:

• Forklift certification.

• Previous experience in glass handling.

• Familiarity with operating overhead rail gantry cranes.
