About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at Wigan Council. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to children, young people, and their families, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children and families, promoting resilience and independence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to improve outcomes for children and families.

Requirements
