We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Financial Management and Reporting team at Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust. As the Head of Financial Reporting, you will play a critical role in supporting the organisation's financial plan and providing high-quality financial management information to inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Financial Management and Reporting team, ensuring the provision of excellent financial advice and information to Trust managers and clinicians.
- Coordinate the provision of all financial information, including income and expenditure, forecasting, and financial returns, to facilitate effective monitoring and management of the Trust's financial position.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with divisions and Corporate Finance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Provide expert financial support and advice to divisions, particularly in relation to the Trust's Financial Accountability Framework and Transformation and Sustainability programme.
- Professional accountancy qualification (CCAB)
- Significant post-qualification experience in financial management and leadership
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop collaborative and effective working relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think and act on own initiative
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively, working to tight deadlines in a constantly changing environment
