Senior DevOps Engineer

Jumar Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to work on critical public sector projects. This role requires hands-on experience with building secure, reliable systems and expertise in various DevOps tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Development: Build and maintain highly reliable and secure systems using industry-leading tools and technologies.
  • Kafka and MQ Management: Set up and manage Kafka clusters (MSK/Confluent) and IBM MQ to ensure seamless data processing and communication.
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Implement effective monitoring and alerting solutions using AWS Cloudwatch, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure system uptime and performance.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Terraform for containerization and orchestration of applications and services.
  • AWS Infrastructure Management: Manage AWS infrastructure, including VPC, EC2, EKS, MSK, S3, and RDS, to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Availability Zone Configuration: Set up resources across multiple Availability Zones for enhanced resilience and disaster recovery.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • System Security: Proven experience in building and securing high-reliability systems with a strong focus on security.
  • Kafka and MQ Expertise: Strong knowledge of Kafka (MSK/Confluent), IBM MQ, and their applications in data processing and communication.
  • Monitoring and Alerting Tools: Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (AWS Cloudwatch, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system uptime and performance.
  • Containerization and Orchestration Tools: Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Terraform for containerization and orchestration of applications and services.
  • AWS Services and Infrastructure: Deep understanding of AWS services and infrastructure (VPC, EC2, EKS, MSK, S3, RDS) to ensure scalability and reliability.
