Job Overview

**Financial Crime Risk Advisory Role at BACB plc**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Financial Crime Risk team as a Financial Crime Risk Advisory Specialist. This role will provide critical support to our advisory team, ensuring timely and accurate advice on financial crime queries.

Key Responsibilities

**Horizon Scanning and Regulatory Analysis**

Carry out relevant regulatory horizon scanning and analysis to identify potential financial crime risks. Prepare briefing notes on regulatory actions and ensure that impacted areas are advised and made aware.

**Trusted Advisor and Stakeholder Engagement**

Share financial crime expertise with stakeholders and work to enhance systems and processes. Foster positive relationships with other departments and provide advisory support to drive business growth.

**Transaction Approvals and Oversight**

Review, approve, or reject transactions escalated to the FCR team in a timely manner. Interact with business and 1LoD to seek additional comfort where required.

**Committee Papers and Policies**

Assist in compiling Committee Papers and reviewing relevant Standards and Policies framework. Advise the FCR Core team on situations where policies may require amendment.

**Training and Development**

Assist in planning and delivering bespoke financial crime training as required by individual specialist departments.

**Conduct and Culture**

Assist in the bank's ongoing work and participate in training, projects, and non-financial risk work.

**Additional Responsibilities**

Support other areas of Financial Crime Risk as and where required.

Requirements

**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Financial Crime Advisory roles
  • Robust understanding of the regulatory environment in relation to AML, ABC, Sanctions, Fraud
  • Detailed understanding of financial crime risks presented by Trade Finance and Correspondent Banking
  • Experience working with industry standard transaction and payment screening tools
