This role focuses on advocating for and selling solar energy solutions to agricultural producers and agribusinesses, assisting them in minimizing energy expenditures while enhancing sustainability practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to renewable energy, a comprehensive understanding of the agricultural industry, and a solid track record in sales.

Our team comprises seasoned professionals with extensive expertise in consultancy, development, asset management, investment, construction, installation, and agri-tech. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential clients within the agricultural sector, conducting thorough evaluations of their energy requirements and goals.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with farmers, agribusiness proprietors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Offer expert advice and support on project planning, design, and execution.
  • Conduct financial assessments, including cost-benefit analyses, return on investment calculations, and budget forecasts.
  • Assist in business development efforts, including proposal drafting, client presentations, and relationship management.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, grants, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in solar energy technologies and effectively communicate their advantages to clients.
  • Negotiate agreements and terms with clients to finalize sales.
  • Provide ongoing assistance to clients, ensuring high satisfaction levels and addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate closely with installation and service teams to guarantee seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions, providing regular updates on sales performance.

Qualifications and Attributes:

Ideal candidates should demonstrate the following:

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience in the agricultural or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies.
  • A successful history of managing renewable energy projects from inception to operational status.
  • Exceptional negotiation and project management skills.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.
  • Capability to comprehend and articulate technical information.
  • Self-driven with a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management software.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, grants, and environmental considerations for renewable energy initiatives.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to manage contractors and third-party vendors.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and permitting processes.
  • A willingness to acquire new skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and possession of a valid UK driving license.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, along with 25 days of annual leave, an additional day off for your birthday, and public holidays. On-site parking is available.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday.
