About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Technologist to join our team at LeMieux. As a key member of our Design team, you will be responsible for managing the fit and technical process of all horse products and accessories from initial sample to delivery handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of technical specifications, ensuring all attributes are correct and well communicated.
  • Lead fit sessions for all relevant products, relay fit comments and amendments to suppliers, and maintain accurate fit records.
  • Collaborate with Design to create clear technical packs, including size specifications and construction details, ensuring effective communication with suppliers.
  • Update size specifications, record comments and data, and monitor the sampling process to ensure timely updates to the critical path.
  • Develop and maintain test reports, ensuring approvals and maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage the physical sample library and storage, maintaining accurate logs and updates of sample status.
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming samples for measurement and design discrepancies.
  • Assist in Quality Control, checking production and received stock for sizing and fabric consistency, and work with the Returns department to ensure product improvement.
  • Establish and maintain daily liaison with overseas suppliers, ensuring deadlines are met and the critical path remains up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Proven industry experience in a similar role, preferably in sports/equestrian wear product development.
  • Product/Garment Technologist qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of garment fit, technical construction, and make-up, with confident grading and sizing skills.
  • Knowledge of pattern cutting, construction, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience working with overseas factories.
  • Ability to follow and manage time according to the critical path.
  • CAD skills and experience using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop would be an advantage.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexible attitude to work, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to take initiative and assist where necessary, with a passion for product development and an interest in the equestrian world.
