We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Nurse / Clinical Research Practitioner to join our Clinical Research Facility (CRF) Oncology Research Team at St George's Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage an agreed Oncology Solid Cancers clinical research portfolio at St George's Hospital NIHR CRF.
- Work collaboratively with research teams and the wider multidisciplinary team in the management of clinical trials patients.
- Take delegated responsibility from clinicians for clinical decision making and work closely with investigators and multidisciplinary staff.
- Facilitate study set-up, identify suitable patients, collect data, interview, support and monitor patients, and perform data entry.
- Provide advice and information to patients, acting as their advocate, to enable them to make informed choices concerning their involvement in clinical trials.
- Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC pin number.
- Relevant post-registration programme.
- ENB 998 or a professionally recognized equivalent teaching course.
- Good Clinical Practice Certificate or willingness to be trained in GCP.
- Registration on the Academy for Healthcare Science (AHCS) Clinical Research Practitioner Accredited Register or working towards.
- Experience in clinical research, formal or informal teaching of patients and staff, and working as a preceptor/facilitator.
- Experience in ECGs, spirometry, and phlebotomy.
- Participation in clinical or nursing research.
- Adaptable and responsive to changing needs.
- Committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Reliable and a team player.
- Able to use own initiative.
