Stagecoach West Scotland is seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at the Ayr Depot.

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our fleet of over 60 vehicles, including electric buses, operates safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will encompass the maintenance and repair of these vehicles, adhering to the rigorous standards set by Stagecoach and the DVSA.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and servicing on a variety of bus models.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in automotive or bus mechanics.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an apprentice mechanic.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
