About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit team on a full-time, permanent basis. As an Audit Manager, you will play a key role in leading the team to provide a high-quality, independent, and objective internal audit service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and lead audits using a risk-based approach
  • Develop and deliver aspects of the audit plan
  • Deliver complex audit work and evaluate systems or processes
  • Draft and agree reports with senior management
  • Play a key role in team management and staff development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced and self-sufficient auditor with at least some management experience. You will need to be able to effectively coordinate, check, and challenge the audit work of colleagues or contractors.

Effective communication and commitment to our organisation's values and behaviours are essential for this role. Internal audit supervisory experience is essential, and experience within a Local Government setting is advantageous.
