Job Title: HGV Technician

Are you a skilled technician looking for a challenging role in the transportation industry? We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at Volvo Trucks in Peterborough.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy.
  • Diagnose and repair complex technical issues with HGVs, using manufacturer-approved procedures and tools.
  • Work collaboratively with the parts team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted to vehicles.
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure they are safe and meet regulatory standards.
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns and provide technical support to customers.
Requirements:
  • City and Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Completed an apprenticeship in HGV industry or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with commercial vehicles and a strong understanding of technical procedures.
