Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our referral veterinary and teaching hospital team. This is a demanding out-of-hours role that requires dedication, proactivity, flexibility, and a strong belief in delivering the highest standard of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in our out-of-hours team, covering 4 night shifts on, and then having 8 nights off.
  • Help cover for other night RVNs' holidays and periods of absence, accruing paid overtime for additional hours worked.
  • Work a share of public holidays over the Christmas period, if shifts fall on those dates.
  • Participate in a 6-8 week training programme to learn the ropes, with initial training shifts based on Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm.
Requirements:
  • Must be an RCVS registered veterinary nurse (RVN).
  • Excellent organisational and communications skills are essential.
  • Keen dedication to teaching the next generation of veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses is a must.
  • Passion for providing and learning about excellent fear-free handling of patients, with experience in this being desirable.
