Main Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Reception Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for all individuals reaching out to the practice, whether in person, via electronic communication, or by phone.
- Accurately directing patients to the most suitable service or personnel based on their needs, utilizing the training and resources provided.
- Offering support to the broader team within the practice.
- Projecting a welcoming and positive image of the practice.
- Managing appointment scheduling and modifications effectively.
- Contributing significantly to the daily operations of the practice to ensure smooth functioning.
- Reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Demonstrating strong IT skills, which are essential for this role.

Job Responsibilities
Position Title: Healthcare Reception Coordinator
Reports To: Duty Managers
Working Hours: Various, to be arranged, Monday to Saturday
Key Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, both at the reception and over the phone.
- Assist and guide patients in accessing the appropriate services or healthcare professionals in a courteous and effective manner.
- Provide general support to the practice team and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors.
- Deliver efficient and informative reception and administrative services to patients and practice staff.
- Experience in customer service is essential, while prior experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.

- Promote and maintain health, safety, and security as outlined in the practice's policies.
- Identify risks in work activities and manage them appropriately.
- Utilize training to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Maintain a tidy and safe work environment, adhering to infection control procedures.
