BAM Nuttall is currently seeking a skilled Sub Agent to join our onshore team. This position will involve working on significant civil engineering projects in Scotland that support sustainable and renewable developments for the future. The role includes mentoring engineers, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines, and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
  • Set an example in health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Supervise engineering staff and maintain engineering control, overseeing project progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and supply chain partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Promote cost-consciousness and efficient resource use, optimizing project budgets and minimizing waste.
  • Utilize Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies for project delivery, enhancing collaboration and reducing errors.
  • Procure necessary materials and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution.
  • Identify and address any potential liabilities, mitigating risks and ensuring project success.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering, with a strong foundation in civil engineering principles.
  • CSCS Level certification, demonstrating your commitment to health and safety.
  • SSSTS certification, showcasing your expertise in site management.
  • Prior experience at Section Engineer level, with a proven track record of success in civil engineering projects.
