Job Title: Finishing Unit Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Finishing Unit Operator to join our team at Pertemps Falkirk. As a Finishing Unit Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective completion of finishing tasks, including acid etching and dye penetrant of parts, as well as packing and shipping duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acid etching and dye penetrant of parts
  • Packing and shipping duties
  • Working safely within a team environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
  • Previous experience in a similar role and current/previous qualification desirable

Requirements:

  • Current forklift license/crane license
  • Sound judgment and ability to work safely within a team
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative

Training and Development:

The successful candidate will undergo a minimum of 40 hours of classroom training and a minimum of 400 hours of practical training. This will include two written multiple choice theory examinations and a practical examination. Additional skills training may include hardness testing and metallurgical sample preparation.
