Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Meritus is seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join our client in Shawbury on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the movement, line, and base maintenance of the aircraft fleet.
Key Responsibilities:- Accomplish maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by the nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
- Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
- Complete maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical, and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions.
- Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component, and composite technical work in workshops as required.
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
- Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
- Aircraft Line Maintenance.
- Aircraft Base Maintenance.
- Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.
- Experience with SAP and ERP software.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on exciting aerospace programmes and contribute to the safe operation of the aircraft fleet.
