Job Title: Senior Work Coach

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Work Coach to join our team at Sovereign & Bale. As a Senior Work Coach, you will play a pivotal role in managing a high-quality service that meets the exacting standards of our commissioners and delivers positive outcomes for service users.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high-performance, quality-driven service, leading by example and motivating the team to deliver best practice principles of job retention.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of Employment Retention Advisers, carrying out monthly 1-2-1 meetings and quarterly performance appraisal reviews.
  • Manage a small caseload, advising and supporting clients to address problems in the workplace and help them return to work, remain in work, or find new employment.
  • Submit accurate and timely monthly reports to the Programme Manager and Head of IPS, as well as any other management information requested.
  • Produce regular monitoring reports for external stakeholders, including commissioners.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement, identifying barriers to service excellence and working with internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Identify, devise, and lead on training needs for staff, arranging appropriate training to support continuous professional development.
  • Coordinate the work of Employment Retention Advisers to build relationships with local employers and access the hidden labour market.
Requirements:
  • Experience of managing a team and performance management procedures.
  • Relevant experience providing case management support to a caseload of clients with health and/or employment-related barriers.
  • Understanding of the practical impact of common health conditions on an individual's ability to work.
  • Ability to supervise the caseloads of individuals with different needs and goals.
  • Relevant experience of producing high-quality reports, letters, and spreadsheets for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
