About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paediatric Respite Nurse to join our team at James Hopkins Trust. As a Paediatric Respite Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respite care to children with life-limiting conditions in their own homes or at our respite centre, Kites Corner.
  • Work closely with families to understand their needs and develop individual care plans.
  • Administer medication, manage medical equipment, and provide emotional support to children and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss care plans and share best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse (RNC) or Registered General Nurse (RGN) with paediatric experience.
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Willingness to undergo further training and development opportunities.
