At Timely Recruit Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carbon & BESS Originator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our energy trading and origination team, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and originating new carbon and BESS optimization deals.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and cultivate new business opportunities through relationship-building with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Establish and oversee a profit center focused on carbon and emissions trading, encompassing trading activities, risk management, and commercial strategy.
- Assess and secure new BESS and SaaS deals, ensuring compliance with company standards and risk guidelines.
- Create and deliver comprehensive proposals and reports to senior management.
- Oversee the tender process for front-of-the-meter assets, ensuring prompt and high-quality submissions.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to secure agreements that benefit both parties.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as data science, legal, compliance, trading, and operations, to ensure smooth transaction processing.
- Monitor and maintain a strong pipeline of potential deals using CRM and other tools.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and grow business connections.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in origination, energy trading, or a similar role within the energy industry.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and industry contacts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software.
- High self-motivation, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
