About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Resident Doctor to join our Oncology team at London Bridge Hospital. As a Resident Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with consultants, nursing professionals, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Clinical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive handovers from outgoing Resident doctors to incoming Resident doctors at each shift change.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on electronic patient records and any paper notes.
  • Provide day-to-day medical care of inpatients, including admissions, discharges, and assessing referrals from ward Resident doctors.
  • Participate in daily patient ward rounds, responding to medical needs and emergencies, and caring for end-of-life patients.
  • Provide urgent medical attention to staff and visitors until they are admitted under a consultant or transferred to an NHS facility.

Essential Criteria:

  • GMC registration and good standing with GMC.
  • Completion of Foundation training and at least 2 further years of Oncology experience.
  • Oncology patient experience within in-patient/outpatient settings.
  • ALS training.

Desirable Criteria:

  • FRCA/FICM/MRCEM/MRCP.
  • NHS training programme in general medicine/oncology.
