About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our team at a renowned manufacturer at the forefront of innovation. As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will play a vital role in our production process, working with state-of-the-art CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality components with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC multi-tasking lathes to manufacture components from raw materials.
  • Ensure products meet the highest quality standards before being sent to the assembly line.
  • Report and quality defects to the machine shop supervisor.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on the machines.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and report any issues promptly.
  • Optimize efficiencies through reduced set-up and cycle times, plus tool life and monitoring.
  • De-burr, clean, and inspect products.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of operating CNC machine tools.
  • Experience of setting and operating CNC lathes, with a minimum of 4 axis.
  • Experience of reading and editing faunc programs.
  • Experience within a low batch component manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of operating twin spindle machines would be advantageous.
  • The ability to work to AS9100 aerospace quality standards would be advantageous.
