We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Health Recruit Network - HRN. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on cosmetic surgery.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Ensure the operating theatre is fully sterilized and prepared for procedures.
- Prepare and organize necessary equipment for surgeries.
- Sterilize materials, gloves, and gowns.
- Perform initial counts of sponges, instruments, and needles.
- Liaise with other nurse teams throughout the surgical process.
- Assist with dressing wounds and preparing the patient for the recovery room.
- Assist the surgeon throughout the procedure with various tasks.
Requirements:
- Formal nursing qualifications are required.
- Must have experience with WHO checklists, team briefings, and strong communication skills.
- Must live locally and be flexible to cover shifts as per the rota. On-call duties after the surgical list are also required.
- Shifts start at either 7 am or 9 am.
