Job Summary

The Street Works Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all street works activities, ensuring compliance with current regulations and working closely with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and update street works permits, including traffic management permits, in compliance with current legislation.
  • Provide daily reports to external stakeholders.
  • Create safe digging asset packs.
  • Liaise with asset owners to organize joint site visits.
  • Organize desilting and tree cutting works.
  • Submit traffic management applications to local authorities.
  • Attend weekly meetings with external stakeholders.
  • Plan and book all traffic management.
  • Support the Health, Quality, Safety, and Environment (HQSE) team with service strike investigations.
  • Assist subcontractors with planning their works where applicable.
  • Communicate with operational staff to identify critical areas of delivery.
  • Receive and record data onto work management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with the contract and the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and report any non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Liaise with councils.
  • Work with subcontractors to complete works plans.

Requirements

  • Telecoms experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience in the use of street work noticing systems and knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages.
  • Attention to detail and a persistent approach to following up enquiries.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive and takes initiative.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
